Glenn Marine Group of Companies staged its biggest show at this
year's LIMA 2007 from the 4 to 8 December 2007. Occupying a booth space of
more than 100 square meters, the must-see exhibition booth was modeled after
GDMA's Singapore Headquarter Tower and displayed a complete set of intricately crafted scaled
models of 9 ships from the Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier strike group 7 and the USS Rhode Island
logistic nuclear submarine the company serviced throughout the Asia, Pacific and Oceania
regions. Mr Leonard Glenn Francis, the Executive Chairman and President of
the Glenn Marine Group of Companies said: "As a son of Malaysia, I am very proud of
this day to be able to showcase to the world at this prestigious international arena the innovative
capabilities of what a small Malaysian company set up by my maternal grandfather in Penang in 1946
can grow to become a global player after three generations of hard work. This
truly demonstrates the talent, abilities and enterprise of our people and a proven testimony that
we are hard working people who can achieve our loftiest dreams if we believe in it and apply
ourselves." Today, the Group has regional offices in more than 20 countries
and has firmly entrenched itself as the world class Defense Marine Logistics Corporation in Asia,
the Pacific and Oceania. Providing unrivalled services and support to more than 30 navies
of the world, it played yet again a major role in LIMA 2007 for the United States Navy, Republic of
Singapore Navy, Indian Navy and the Sri Lankan Navy. |
